Well done to the school's athletics team. They participated in the Carmarthenshire Schools Athletics Championships on the evening of Monday 12th May. A team of 18 athletes competed in a variety of events from the shot putt to the 100 metres.
They are all following in the footsteps of a famous past pupil, David Greene, who eventually became a World Champion in the 110m hurdles and was also the captain of the British Olympics team.
Out of approximately 25 schools Penygaer came a commendable 5th place.
