A visitor from the North Pole!

18th December

We all knew that today was going to be our last day with Snowflake, but what we didn't realise was that she was going to go back to the North Pole during the night. So when we arrived in school this morning she was already gone. However, Snowflake had definitely left her mark for us to remember her by!

We found a note. The note told us that she had gone back to the North Pole, but before she went she decided to have a Christmas Party in our classroom with some of her friends! This is what we found on the computer...

Snowflake and friends!

She also explained that while her friends were with her, they got up to A LOT of mischief! She sent us on a mission to find all the things they had done. We found some cheeky elf evidence in every classroom!
We have had lots of fun with Snowflake over the last three weeks. We are going to miss her terribly. So as a reminder of our fantastic time with her we made some 'elfies'! Who knows... maybe she'll come back next year!

What a surprise we had this morning when we arrived in school. Snowflake had been busy spreading her Christmas magic all over our milk. We found her in our fridge where our milk bottles and fruit are usually kept. However, today we didn't find milk in our milk cartons... we found milkshake! What a scrumptious treat, thank you Snowflake!

As well as enjoying our pink milk, today we really enjoyed making our Christmas cards. Snowflake had found lots of Christmas resources for us. We enjoyed designing our own Christmas cards and choosing someone special to send them to. Snowflake thinks that they are the best cards she has ever seen and is very proud of how creative all the children in year 1 are.

Oh dear! Snowflake has again ventured out of our classroom. When we arrived at school this morning, we found a very confused Mr Stevenson. Snowflake had been into his office and wrapped up his chair with wrapping paper and beautiful bow! She looked very comfy in his chair!

When we arrived in school today we found that Snowflake had left us a gift in the tough tray. She had made a snowy scene for us to play with. Perhaps she is missing the north pole!

Last night, Snowflake had managed to persuade freddy frog (who's usually a very good frog) to help her with her mischief! We found the two of them on the top of a big pile of chairs. They'd even decorated it with tinsel. Perhaps they were trying to make a tree?

Today was Christmas dinner day. Each class made their own Christmas hat to wear for the meal. Of course we decided that the only hat we could possibly wear was an elf hat! We think Snowflake thought they were awesome! Snowflake become our DJ and played some festive music while we all enjoyed our turkey and sausages.

Well we will be surprised if Snowflake doesn't have a poorly belly tonight! When we arrived in school we found that she has been eating lots of chocolate, but not just any chocolate...our advent calendar! She looked like she had really enjoyed it!

9th December

Today we have found Snowflake in a bit of a pickle! We think that last night she was chased by our dinosaurs and managed to keep safe inside our pasta pot. The only thing is... how is she going to get out?

We decided to design some escape routes and traps for the dinosaurs.

When we arrived in school this morning, we thought that Snowlfake hadn't been up to much over the weekend. However, when Mrs Peters put the big screen on to do the register we realised that Snowflake had been busy all weekend taking elfie selfies!

4th December

Yesterday, before we left for school we decided to try and catch the elf in action by leaving video cameras around to secretly film her! Guess what we caught on video...

Today Snowflake asked us to decorate our tree. She doesn't like plain trees! Luckily she left us lots of decorations.

Today we received a very important delivery from the North Pole! Santa has sent one of his elves to spend the next three weeks in our class. Keep an eye on this page to find out all the fun things we get up to with our elf.

Naming our elf

Naming our elf 1 First we voted.
Naming our elf 2

We were quite shocked to find out that our elf was a girl! We came up with lots of names so we decided to put it to a vote. We then created a bar chart to show our results. The final choice...Snowflake! We hope she likes it!
